When Love Poison by Boadicea the Victorious was released, many were reluctant to drop $800 for a 100ml bottle. Such a steep price tag inevitably alienates a large consumer base thus restricting so many ardent fans from owning what we believe to be one of the brand’s best fragrances. Now that we have released our inspiration of this exquisite fragrance, we were on the hunt to locate the fragrance that would be the most compatible for a new inspired hybrid. The unifying note between this fragrance and the one we selected is natural Grandiflorum jasmine from Egypt. Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait by Maison Francis Kurkdjian has one of the most unique expressions of that note, and thus, a match was made with our inspiration of it! To our surprise, the variety of jasmine in both fragrances is exactly the same, and it directly contributes to the consolidation of the two blends! Spicy bergamot shines in the opening before Moroccan orange adds sweetness to the citrus appeal that creates the dynamic opening. Bitter almond, caraway, and cinnamon enrich the blend with a medley of spice whilst resins and cedar add texture and warmth in the base. Who knew one would find love in the casino?
