From the unparalleled Creation-E to the exclusive L’Oscar, Roja Parfums is deserving of its reputation and success within the industry. A gem within the collection also deserving of praise is Oligarch. Created for the world’s largest nation, Oligarch is an expression of the finest raw materials a perfume could possibly contain. We happened upon this realization as we set out to compose our own iteration of this modern masterpiece. Our inspired expression is boldly named The Monarch. Like the head of a dynasty that reigns supreme over a nation, The Monarch is a scent to end all scents. As versatile as they come, this intricate blend will have you coming back for more. This modern chypré bears a lavish citrus opening that parades around woodsy accents of cedar and juniper. Surrounding the heart are exotic florals like champaca and jasmine that beguile the wearer with their innocent demeanor. Their complexity and potential is fulfilled when herbs and spices complete a widely drawn arc of notes that extends to include oakmoss, vanilla, birch, leather, and ambergris in the base. In the words of Gianni Versace, “In the past, people were born royal. Nowadays, royalty comes from what you do.” The Monarch is a fragrance whose scent speaks louder than words.
